Certified Health Care Environmental Services Technician (CHEST) August 2022

Using the train-the-trainer model, the Certified Health Care Environmental Services Technician (CHEST) designation sets national standards specifically for environmental services technicians working in health care. The CHEST curriculum is based on seven content domains that were identified as part of a robust and comprehensive national job and task analysis of health care environmental services frontline staff. A substantial amount of content will be covered; we expect that each day of the workshop will take a full 8 hours.

This is a hybrid in-person/virtual event: this program will be offered simultaneously in Seattle and in a virtual event environment.

Attendance Policy: Because you are being designated as a trainer of the CHEST program, it is important that you attend all 24 hours of training. Attendance will be taken; full participation is required.
