AHE Academy | Focused Education for the Busy Environmental Services Leader
AHE Academy offers EVS leaders a way to quickly become proficient with the required skills to best serve their teams and the patients they serve. This year, AHE chose content from strategic leadership to elevate any leader’s performance.
Attend the five-day training to improve your infection prevention knowledge, become an expert at evidence-based product selection and effectively transfer CHEPS’s EVS domains’ knowledge from the classroom to your health care facility. AHE Academy will expand the expertise of anyone currently leading an EVS team but can also quickly elevate the necessary knowledge of new EVS leaders.
Attend all five days of AHE Academy or choose from three different bundles to best fit your training needs.
Monday & Tuesday
Certificate of Mastery in Infection Prevention (CMIP)
This program provides participants with the requisite knowledge they need to meet the CMS requirements for a “trained” professional in infection prevention and control.
Note: This is a blended program that starts on August 19. Advanced registration is required.
Wednesday
CHESP Extended Review Workshop
This one-day program features an overview of the CHESP exam content, including an extended math review, and allows time for Q&A.
Thursday & Friday
Certificate of Mastery in Product Selection (CMPS)
This two-day certification program will show you how to shift purchasing and new product implementation from a tactical approach to a highly focused strategic one.
Travel Information
This year AHE Academy will take place in the heart of Chicago! Attendees will have easy access to many tourist attractions, including Millennium Park, Willis Tower, Lakeshore Drive, museums, theaters and fine dining.
AHE Academy will take place at the AHE Headquarters office at 155 W Wacker Drive in Chicago. More information about lodging and travel will be coming soon.
This year’s AHE Academy training concentrates on the Strategic Leadership initiative, preparing EVS leaders to effectively fight infection, make smart purchasing decisions, and brush up on all EVS content domains, making them ready for CHESP certification.
