Description
Today’s health systems can be described as complex entities comprised of complicated, interconnected system components. The Joint Commission has recommended that health care organizations transform into High Reliability Organizations where zero harm should be the norm. This presentation highlights some of the history and intent of High Reliability Organizations and explores how health care facilities can glean and apply useful high reliability principles to help anticipate, identify, prevent and respond to systemic failure, and foster a culture of safety and quality.
The learning outcomes of this webinar are the following:
• Introduce the basic principles of High Reliability Organizations (HRO)
• Discuss practical ways to adopt and apply recognized HRO ideals, methods and structures to healthcare facilities
• Discuss how to bolster a facility’s culture of safety with High Reliability principles
This is a pre-recorded, on-demand webinar available at your convenience.
