Chicago, July 31, 2017 – The Association for the Healthcare Environment (AHE) announced today that Diversey is the fourth ever environmental services industry leader to be presented with AHE’s prestigious Innovation Award.
The award was developed by the AHE Industry Advisory Task Force to recognize and increase awareness of improved products and processes and technology advancements that empower individuals to improve measured outcomes in the healthcare environment. AHE recognized the importance of being inclusive in its efforts to acknowledge the “best and brightest” and looked to challenge the existing expectations of performance, behavior, engineering and quality outcomes through innovation.
Diversey’s MoonBeam3™ Disinfection Technology was selected because it provides a new angle in UVC disinfection and its three adjustable arms allow users to target the UVC dose, taking disinfection to the next level to improve patient outcomes. It is ultra-portable, fast, affordable, effective and easy-to-use. Receiving honorable mention is Medentech, Ltd.’s Defender sporicidal disinfectant.
AHE was pleased that the fourth year of the competition received seven highly competitive submissions from industry leaders, including: Clorox Healthcare, Kimberly-Clark Professional, 3M, Ecolab, and Pacific Floorcare Equipment.
Any AHA member hospital, AHE affiliated local chapter, AHE professional active member, AHE associate member and any other individual or business seeking to improve outcomes in the healthcare environment were eligible to submit an innovation for consideration.
